The Department of Sciences successfully organized National Science Day on
28th February 2025 with great enthusiasm. The event featured an extension lecture by Madam Kusum
Lata Narula, a distinguished National and State Award winner.
The program commenced with a warm welcome by Principal Prof. Inderjit Singh, who honored Madam
Narula with a floral tribute. In his address, he emphasized the significance of National Science
Day, highlighting its historical relevance and its role in promoting scientific awareness.
The event was hosted by Dr. Navjot Kaur, who ensured the smooth flow of the program.
During her insightful lecture, Madam Narula discussed the pivotal role of science and technology in various fields, including technological advancements, medicine, nanotechnology, and medical diagnostics.
She elaborated on artificial organ implantation and also delved into the future aspects of science, exploring emerging trends and innovative possibilities that could shape tomorrow’s world.
To make the session more engaging, she conducted live demonstrations, showcasing extraordinary facts of science that sparked curiosity and enthusiasm among the attendees.
During the event, Prof. S.K. Gupta, Prof. Jasbinder Kaur, Prof. Parveen Ansari, and several other esteemed faculty members were also present, adding to the significance of the occasion.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks, acknowledging the contributions of Madam Kusum Lata Narula, the organizing team, and the enthusiastic participation of students and faculty.
