Pharmacy College Club, Innovation Cell and Entrepreneurship Cell jointly celebrated National Technology Day on 11 May 2022. To mark the significance of technology in students working science model competition was organized. 13 teams participated in the competition. Ms Navpreet Kaur and Ms Shaveta Bharadwaj were the event judges. Winners were decided based on the working model, way of presentation and confidence. Pankaj Dubey and Harsh Kumar of B. Pharm 6 th Sem bagged 1 st Position. Manjot Singh and Satyam (B. Pharm 4 th Sem) were awarded 2 nd position. Third position was bagged by Neha Bharti and Harsh Kumar (B. Pharm 6 th Sem) and Karan (B. Pharm 2 nd Sem). Dr Satvinder Kaur, Professor and Principal, was also present in the programme. Khalsa College of Pharmacy, Gurusar Sadhar organized a National seminar on "Awareness about safe drug disposal, pharmacovigilance and drug safety, career opportunities in pharma academia and industry on 10thy May, 2022. The chief guests of the day were Mr. Sacheen Gandhi, Founder, Healthcopoeia Foundation, New Delhi and Ms. Pooja Arora, Director, Global Research Institute of Pharmacy, Radaur, Haryana. The event was convened by Dr. Satvinder Kaur, Principal, G.H.G. Khalsa College of Pharmacy, Gurusar Sadhar. Other dignitaries who graced the occasion were Dr. Harpreet Singh, Principal, G.H.G. Khalsa College, Dr. Pargat Singh Garcha, Principal, G.H.G. Khalsa College of Education, Gurusar Sadhar. The program began with the inaugural ceremony and lamp enlightening. Mr. Gandhi presented his views and gave various insights on the safe disposal of medicines, which is the need of the hour. He discussed about various ways of drug disposal and reutilization of unused drugs for the welfare of society. A MoU was signed between the Healthcopoeia Foundation, New Delhi and G.H.G. Khalsa College of Pharmacy, Gurusar Sadhar for the common goals. The program was concluded by felicitation of the guests and vote of thanks by Dr. Satvinder Kaur.
Pharmacy College Club celebrated Thalassemia Day and Mother's Day Celebration on 9th May 2022. Students presented their thoughts via presentation and motivated fellow students to donate blood for saving lives of Thalassemia patients. Essence of Mother's Day was beautifully presented through poems, songs, speeches and skit. Dr Satvinder Kaur, Professor and Principal, was also present in the programme. In Lieu of Labour Day, Pharmacy College Club organized 'Oration Competition' on 30th April 2022. Participants were given two topics-'Stop Child Labour' and 'Safety and Security at Workplace'. They were invited to express their views on any one of suggested topics. 15 students of B. Pharm and M. Pharm participated. Ms Jasvir Kaur and Dr Sonia Singla were the event judges. Winners were decided based on the content, way of presentation and confidence. Sakshi of B. Pharm 2nd Sem bagged 1st Position. Mehak (B. Pharm 2nd Sem) and Himanshu (B. Pharm 4th Sem) were awarded 2nd position. Third position was bagged by Bipin (B. Pharm 4th Sem) and Vishal (B. Pharm 2nd Sem). Md Alamgir got consolation prize. GHG Khalsa Colleges organized a seminar on Women Empowerment on March 08, 2022 at GHG Khalsa College Gurusar Sadhar (Ludhiana). At the beginning, the Guest Speaker, Mrs. Harjot Kaur Gambhir, Managing Director of 'Delicious Bites' Pvt. Ltd. was welcomed with bouquet by Principal of GHG Khalsa College, Dr. Harpreet Singh, Principal of GHG Khalsa College of Pharmacy, Dr. Satvinder Kaur and Principal of GHG Khalsa College of Education, Dr. Pargat Singh Garcha. In his address, Dr. Harpreet Singh highlighted the pivotal role of women in the society. Mrs. Harjot Kaur shared her life experience of being an entrepreneur in her lecture. She threw light on the woman's sense of self - worth and ability to determine her own choices. Dr. Pargat singh Garcha, in his speech, encouraged the students to come forward and pursue their desired goals and support the other girls to achieve theirs as well. Dr. Satvinder Kaur presented a vote of thanks and marked the contribution of women in every phase of life. The convener of event was Ms. Shikha Jain. The stage was conducted by Ms. Vishavpreet Kaur. The entire organizing team - Ms. Anjana Kumari, Ms. Aarti Sharma, Dr. Sonia Ahuja, Ms. Shubra Gupta, Ms. Manmeet Kaur and Ms. Anchal was also present at the occasion. A Poster Making Competition was also organized on the theme of 'Women Empowerment'. The winners of the competition were Akdeep Kaur (First), Gagandeep Kaur (Second), Karamjit Kaur (Third) and Simranjit Kaur (Fourth). A refreshment of juices was organized by SEWA Trust UK (NGO) for the students.
Our college, G.H.G Khalsa College of Pharmacy has celebrated Republic day on 25-01-2022. The day marks the sovereignty of the country, as on this day in 1950, the constitution of India was adopted. On this day the spirit of patriotism is celebrated in whole country. In 2022, India is celebrating its 73rd republic day.
Significance of this day is that it completes the country's transition to a sovereign republic.
Poster making competition was held as a part of induction program for freshers on 27th October 2021. The theme for the same was Management of Covid 19. Participants made very creative posters in which the points related to the theme were highlighted. Prizes were distributed in the end. First position was bagged by Karan, second by Vikram and 3rd prize was awarded to Adarsh from 1st Sem. Rishabh and Adarsh won the consolation prizes.
Pharmacy College Club, G.H.G. Khalsa College Gurusar Sadhar Ludhiana celebrated 7th International Day of Yoga on 21 June 2021 with the theme "Be with Yoga, Be at Home". Yoga is an ancient Indian practice that helps in maintaining physical and mental well-being, and over the years, it has found popularity in other countries as well. Students and faculty of GHG Khalsa College of Pharmacy attended a virtual seminar cum workshop on the occasion. Resource person of the day was Mr Hoshiar Singh, Pitanjali Yog Samiti, Ludhiana. His talk and demonstrations included Importance of Yog Asasana & Pranayam for every one, benefits of yog for students, demo and practice of Surya Namaskar Pranayam, Bhastrika, Kapal Bhati, Anulom Belom & Bramari., and some exercises for eyes. Dr Satvinder Kaur, Principal G.H.G. Khalsa College thanked the speaker for sparing valuable time and enlightening the audiences about the benefits of Yoga. Pharmacy College Club also circulated an information brochure on the occasion highlighting the facts, myths and benefits of yoga among the faculty and students.

GHG Khalsa college of Pharmacy, Gurusar-Sadhar celebrated Innovation Day which falls on 15th October, on the occasion of the birthday of renowned scientist Dr. Abdul Kalam, and this day is celebrated as Children's Creativity and Innovation Day. The objective of the `innovation day' celebration was to promote upcoming and untapped talents and to provide the technical education to students.The celebration started on 5th October with an adventurous trip of B.Pharmacy final year and M.Pharmacy first year students to NABI that is National Agri-Food Biotechnology Institute, situated at SAS Nagar, Mohali. The students visited the laboratories and "Nobel Prize Museum" at NABI. In the museum, the students were made aware about highlights how Nobel Laureates have made the world a better place - showcasing discoveries and achievements that have saved lives, fed humanity, connected people and protected the planet.Under this celebration, on 10th October, the B.Pharmacy final year students and M.Pharmacy students were trained about how to browse journals for their research using Ingenta Connect, which is world's largest resource for scholarly publications. On 14th October, various events like Poster making, Creative writing, and Quiz competition were held. The students participated enthusiastically and winners were announced.On the concluding day 15th October, there was a beautiful lecture by Professor Indu Pal mam, on her success journey in life, and on paper writing, and extraction of knowledge from papers. Many more events like rangoli making, logo designing, and delivery of speech were also held on 15th october. This celebration ended with concluding remarks by Dr Anu Mahajan, an End Note address by Professor Satvinder Kaur(Principal) and Prize distribution function.
During induction program of B. Pharmacy 1st semester, students and faculty members of G. H. G Khalsa College of Pharmacy Gurusar Sadhar visited Premjit Memorial Hospital. Students interacted with patients and Doctors. Dr. Ravinder Singh, Eye specialist addressed the students and made them familiar with different aspects of Eye donation. He explained the benefits of eye donation and motivated the students to encourage the public about eye donation. Students and faculty members also paid tribute to S. Premjit Singh.
G.H.G Khalsa College of Pharmacy Gurusar Sadhar hosted its Fresher's Party and celebrated Teacher's day on the eve of 5th September, 2019. The extravaganza of "Fresher's 2k19" started at 11:00 AM concluded with great pomp. After a month of rigorous orientation, foundation course and mentoring sessions, the students of the new batch received some time off to enjoy the fun aspect of their #Life at GHGKCP#. The event was hosted by the seniors who were very excited and welcoming for their juniors. The fresher's put up a great show competing for the revered crowns of Mr. and Miss Fresher. The competition was to be judged on the grounds of the stage presence, smartness, performance and quick wits of the participants. The students displayed their talents in form of singing, dancing, poetry and dressing. Gursimran Singh ( B.Pharmacy 1st Semester) and Suman Angra( M.Pharm 1st Semester) were adjudged Mr. and Miss fresher, respectively. To add on the occasion on teacher's day, students delivered speech and recited poems to express their gratitude towards their mentors. In the end, Principal Dr. Satvinder kaur enlightened the audience with her motivational speech and encourage students to excel in academics to secure their future. She also congratulated students to organize such a great event.
G. H. G. Khalsa College of Pharmacy Gurusar Sadhar organized an Alumni Meet at college campus for the year 2018 on 23rd December 2018. The programme started with Shabad and followed by the welcome address of Principal. There were nearly 100 alumni gathered and refreshed their old memories. The alumni were excited to bring back their golden days of their college hood. Refreshments and lunch was provided for the entire gathering Principal, Dr. Satvinder Kaur updated the Alumni about the recent developments of the college. She encouraged the alumni that they can act as a bridge between the Institute and the Industry. She also invited the alumni to get associated with the Training and Placement Cell for the betterment of their juniors in terms of Internships, Placements and further Industry Connects.
To create awareness among public about the pharmacy profession and the role of the pharmacist in general.; 57th National Pharmacy week was observed at G.H.G Khalsa College of Pharmacy, Gurusar Sadhar, Ludhiana on 16th-17th November 2018. The theme for this year was: "Pharmacists for a Healthy India. Students of M. Pharmacy, B. Pharmacy and D. Pharmacy actively participated in the celebrations. Various events were organised on the theme, including Rangoli, Paper reading, Dish-making and pharmacy quiz competition. The function was graced by the presence of Dr. H.S. Brar, Registrar G.H.G Khalsa Colleges Gurusar Sadhar. Principal, Dr. Satvinder Kaur addressed the students and motivated them to be active as Pharmacist in their respective societies to give India a healthy and drugs free future. At the end of function prizes were distributed to the winners of various events.
The three day IKGPTU inter-zonal youth festival kicked off at DAV Institute of Management & Technology, Jalandhar on 10th November, 2017. The campus was abuzz with various activities performed by students of different colleges. Students of G.H.G Khalsa College of Pharmacy, Gurusar Sadhar again carved a niche for themselves by finishing among positions in different events. In music events, Group shabad bagged second and group song Indian stood third. In fine arts category, Cartooning stood first position. GHG Khalsa College of Pharmacy, Gurusar Sadhar Ludhiana welcomed new students at "Fresher's party 2018" on Friday. The first year students walked the ramp with confidence and showcased their embroidered ethnic fusion wear. The students gave various dance performances. Gurpreet Kaur (D. Pharm. 1st year) & Sukesh Kumar (B. Pharm. 1st sem.) won the title of Ms. Fresher and Mr. Fresher 2018. Principal Dr. Satvinder Kaur appreciated the efforts of the students and congratulated the winners, and welcomed the new comers. In her welcome address to students, she emphasized on awareness amongst the students about one of the very critical and alarming issues that is Drugs Abuse, and she strongly stated that necessary steps shall be taken to control this life threatening habit of drugs abuse in Punjab.
At the Convocation ceremony held at GHG Khalsa Colleges, the Chief Guest S. Hardeep Singh Puri, Honourable Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Housing and Urban Affairs, Govt. of India, conferred degrees to 962 successful students. S. Harinder Singh Khalsa, Member of Parliament, was the Guest of Honour. The guests were given a Guard-of-Honour and were piloted along by the NCC Cadets. Of the 962 degrees conferred, 684 were awarded to the students of Degree College, 130 to the students of College of Pharmacy and 148 to the students of College of Education. Dr. S.S. Deol, Principal, welcomed the guests and presented the annual report for the session 2017-18, providing a glimpse to the numerous achievements in the academics, sports and cultural arena of the students from the three colleges. While delivering his address, the Chief Guest S. Hardeep Singh Puri, congratulated the students for their excellent scholastic performances. He said that the convocation is a prime celebration in one's life. He laid emphasis onpursuit of dreams powered through core values of empathy, perseverance, kindness, courage and integrity as the building blocks. He appreciated S. Manjit Singh Gill, President, College Governing Council and his dedicated team for their noble efforts. On this occasion, College Alumni Olympian Col. Jaswant Singh was honoured with a Lifetime Achievement Award. The University position holders were also felicitated. Lt. Gen. I.S. The Chief Guest on the occasion was Dr. Harpal Singh Pannu, Professor, Punjabi University, Patiala, who inspired the students to keep faith in God and motivated them to work hard in order to achieve their goals. With the help of expert doctors from Dayanand Medical College and Hospital, Ludhiana a Free Medical Check-up Camp and Blood-Donation Camp were also organized in the deepest and fond memory of S. Bakhtawar Singh Gill. The Camps were inaugurated by Sardarni Mohinder Kaur Gill, President S. Manjit Singh Gill and Sh. Amrit Nagpal, Vice-President, Daynand Medical College, Ludhiana.Throwing a light on Gurbani Gayan Competition and the Camps, Dr.Swaranjeet Singh Deol, Principal, Degree College told that various teams from different colleges participated in this event with great enthusiasm. 104 students donated blood voluntarily and nearly 395 patients underwent medical check-up by a team of expert Orthopaedics, Dermatologists, Gynaecologists and many other specialist doctors from DMCH, Ludhiana. The Camps attracted a number of local residents, the students and the teachers. The patients were given medicines free of cost. An Exhibition of books was also organized by the Sukrit Trust and the Guru Gobind Singh Study Circle, Ludhiana. Another major attraction was the 'Dastar bandi Competition' which was possible with special contribution by S. Sohnpreet Singh Jwandha, seeing a display of impeccable turban skills by 30 students. In the Gurbani Gayan Competition, Ramgarhia Girls College, Ludhiana team stood first, Mata Ganga College, Kotta stood second and GHG Khalsa College, Gurusar Sadhar stood third. In the Individual Category, Mehak of Ramgarhia Girls College, Rosy of Mata Ganga College, Kotta and Gyan Kaur, GHG Khalsa College, Gurusar Sadhar got first, second and third prize, respectively. The panel of Judges who gave judgement on the occasion included S. Gobinder Singh Alampuri, Smt. Sukhwinder Kaur and Ms. GurpreetKaur. Prof. Balwinderpal Singh shared that Guru Gobind Singh Study Circle, NSS and NCC Units of the college made special contribution towards making the event successful.The dignitaries felicitated and honoured the winners with trophies and cash prizes. Best Poster & Oral Presentation was adjudged and awarded. 2nd day of National Conference started with welcome speech by Professor & Principal, Dr. Satvinder Kaur and witnessed by Prof. Saranjit Singh, Former Dean & Head of Department Pharmaceutical Analysis, NIPER, Mohali, Prof. V. R. Sinha, UIPS, Panjab University, Chandigarh and Dr. V.K. Kapoor, Prof. Adjunct, G. H. G. Khalsa College of Pharmacy, Gurusar Sadhar. Programme started with guest lecture by Prof. Saranjit Singh on "Technical Revolution and Other Newer Development in Pharmaceutical Sciences". The next session was followed by another technical session by Prof. V.R. Sinha on "Counterfeit Medicines". The programme finally ended with poster evaluation by Professor Gulshan Bansal, Punjabi University, Patiala & Dr Manjinder Singh Gill, NIPER, Mohali. Award giving ceremony which was conducted by respective Chief Guest, invited Guests & Principal Dr. Satvinder Kaur. The event was concluded with vote of thanks by Mrs. Anu Mahajan. Overall the whole event completed really on a successful end.
G.H.G. Khalsa Colleges, Gurusar Sadhar, organised its 67th Annual Athletics Meet here today. The mega event was a joint venture of the three sister institutes - GHG Khalsa College, GHG Khalsa College of Education and GHG Khalsa College of Pharmacy, Gurusar Sadhar. Mrs Lalita Sharma, Regional Director, Sports Authority of India was the chief guest on the occasion. The athletics meet began with the flag hoisting ceremony. A graceful and rhythmic march past, synchronising with the band was performed by the sportspersons and students of the three colleges. The chief guest took the salute of the march past. Various track and field events including races, shot puts, high jumps, athletics, long jump, high jump, potato spoon race, three-legged race, sack race, tug of war, etc were organised during the sports meet. The best athlete declared from pharmacy college Rajdeep Singh (D. Pharmacy) (boys) and Kamalpreet Kaur (D. Pharmacy) (girls). Dr S.S. Deol, principal, GHG Khalsa College, gave a brief account of the sports and academic achievements of the three institutes. Addressing the gathering, Mrs Lalita Sharma congratulated Manjit Singh Gill, president of the managing committee, for following the footsteps of his father, Bakhtawar Singh Gill, and leading the institutes in the same spirit towards excellence in all the fields. Mrs Sharma expressed his concern about how to make balance between sports and study. Sports are important part of student life. Sports make us physically healthy as well as teach us discipline, team work, leadership and punctuality and keep youngsters away from bad habits She also advised students to elect pathway of sports to achieve destination in academics and appealed to the young generation to participate in games beside waste their time in cefeteria and gossips. She also said that children in sports are equally good in academics. A brief cultural programme, including items of bhangra, malwaigiddha enthralled the audience.
An educational tour of D.M.L.T.- 2nd and 4th semester students was organized on dated 24/01/2018 and 25/01/2018 to Pancham hospital Ludhiana. The students interacted with the staff and patients of the hospital. The students have good exposure about actual working of laboratory testing of samples. Students visited all the departments like Cath Lab, Dialyses Department, ICU, CCU, General Operation Theater, Cardiac Operation Theater and Clinical Laboratory. The team of hospital demonstrated to the students about working of instruments.

Pharmacy Week 2017 was celebrated in the campus of G.H.G KHALSA COLLEGE OF PHARMACY, GURUSAR SADHAR, on dated 20 to 22nd November, 2017. Various events like paper reading, rangoli, dish making, quiz competition, herbal hub were also organised in three day function. These events witnessed active and sincere participation by the students of B. Pharm, D. Pharm, M. Pharm. Lectures were also delivered on the topics 'Balance Diet and Healthy lifestyle' by Dr. Chamanjot Kaur (Pancham hospital, Ludhiana), To maintain optimal health and prevent lifestyle diseases ' by Mr. Satinder Pal Sing(Ambay Enterprises Pvt. Ltd. Ludhiana).
Inter Zonal Youth Festival was organised by IKGPTU, PUNJAB in college campus of GULZAR GROUP OF INSTITUTIONS, KHANNA. it was started on Nov 10,2017 and concluded on Nov 12,2017. GHG KHALSA COLLEGE OF PHARMACY, GURUSAR SADHAR students participated in various events and bagged first position in Shabad, second position in poem recitation and Cartooning, third position in Vaar Singing and local vocal.
Three day Zonal Youth Festival was organised in PUNJAB INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT AND TECHNOLOGY, ALOUR. It was started on 25 Oct, 2017 and concluded on 27 Oct, 2017. On very first day various competitions were held like Folk Song, Vaar Singing, Cartooning, Group Shabad etc. GHG KHALSA COLLEGE OF PHARMACY, GURUSAR SADHAR bagged first position in Vaar Singing. College also got second prize in Cartooning, third prize in Group Shabad and third prize in folk song. Events like Collage Making, Poem Recitation, Vocal Solo, Debate, Poster Making, Elocution were organised on 26-10-17. Our College won first prize in vocal solo, second prize in collage making, third prize in poem and first prize in on the spot painting competition.
National conference on "Challenges and Future Vision in Phytomedicines -An alternate to modern medicine" was organized at GHG Khalsa College of Pharmacy, Gurusar Sudhar Ludhiana on 22nd September 2017 in collaboration with Association of Pharmacy Professionals (APP). The event was comprised of lectures by eminent speakers on recent studies in phytomedicines and modern aspects. Dr. Satvinder Kaur, Principal GHG Khalsa College of Pharmacy, welcome the guests and delegates. The chief guest Professor R.K Goyal Vice Chancellor DPSRU, New Delhi addresses the delegates. Professor Saurabh Dahiya (President Haryana state APP) from Lingaya's university Faridabad and Professor Gulshan Bansal from Punjabi University Patiala also delivered their talks with their knowledgeable experiences. Presence of more than 200 delegates of different Institutes of Punjab and surrounding areas made the event successful. Conference includes the poster session where more than 150 candidates presented their research and reviews. Dr.V.K Kapoor Prof. Adjunct, GHG Khalsa College of Pharmacy concludes the occasion with his concluding remarks. Overall the event completed really on a successful end.
G.H.G. Khalsa College of Pharmacy, Gurusar Sadharorganized its fresher's party for the new entrants of B. Pharm, D. Pharm and D.M.L.T courses on 15 September, 2017. More than 130 new comer students attended the party. Miss Fresher title was bagged by Ms. Simarpreet Kaur of 1st semester and Mr. Fresher title was conferred on Mr. Meharjot Singh. On this occasion, various cultural events like dances, songs and bhangra were organized by the students. Principal, Dr. Satvinder Kaur welcomed the students and extended her wishes to join this esteemed college.
The Teej Festival was celebrated in G.H.G. Khalsa College on 01-09-2017 with fervour and gaiety. The glittering function was inaugurated with exuberant applause by the faculty members and the enthusiastic students. The entire college premises wore a festive look with bright and colourful decorations. The girls turned up in traditional attire & added liveliness to the occasion. A variety of traditional events enthralled the audience. The audience was captivated by the cultural programme consisting of folk dance Giddha, Tappey and Punjabi boliyan and were equally delighted by the traditional Punjabi dishes like gulgule, tikkis, malpurhas and kheer. A variety of stalls displaying bangles, jewellery, purses, cosmetics and mehndi enhanced the festive fervour. The noble gesture of providing free Jalebis by Shri Gulzari Lal Amar Sweets Sadhar famously known as 'Raikoti' was duly appreciated by all. Various competitions like rangoli, Pakhi-making, nala-making, poster-making, dish-making, mehandi, clay-modelling, quiz, folk songs, hair-style & nail-art, embroidery and crochet, best out of waste, related to Punjabi culture were organised. After several rounds of competitions Amandeep Kaur, a student of B.Pharmacy (7th Sem), was adjudged the winner of Rangoli (1st), Best out of waste (1st), Nail art (1st), Poster making (consolation). Taranpreet Kaur student of B.Pharmacy (7th Sem) also bagged 2nd position in rangoli and consolation prize in best out of waste. An exhibition on Punjabi culture & heritage organized by the Department of Commerce and Management was the highlight of the festival. Traditional articles like more than a century old utensils, coins, weapons, & hand written religious books; bagh, phulkari, pakhian, bangles, parandian, charkha, chhajj, chakki, peehra etc. were on display in the Exhibition to elicit knowledge to the students about the tradition rich Punjabi cultural heritage. The winners were congratulated & awarded prizes. The occasion was also graced by the College Registrar Dr. Harjinder Singh Brar; Dr. Satvinder Kaur, Principal College of Pharmacy; Dr. Sarabjit Kaur, Principal College of Education. Dr. Swaranjit Singh Deol, the Principal of the college in his address appreciated the efforts of the girls and emphasized that the festival of Teej is not only a symbol of our cultural heritage but also such celebrations are a way of reviving and keeping the Punjabiyat alive for generations to come.
Many of the ex-students become nostalgic upon their arrival on the campus. Some of them come for the first time ever since they have left the campus many years ago. Similar type of nostalgic behavior was seen in the G. H. G. Lhasa College of Pharmacy, Gurusar Sadhar, in its 3rd Alumni Meet which was scheduled to be held on Sunday August 20, 2017. It was a gathering of 100 people approximately. The programme was inaugurated with candle enlightening by esteemed principal Dr. Satvinder Kaur and some ex-students followed by welcome note by respected principal. Miss Arshdeep and Miss Diksha, students of B. Pharmacy refreshes the audience with their motivational. Mr. Hitesh, ABM, Intas Pt. Ltd., talked on 'Marketing and Sales'. Mr. Manik, an alumnus of this institution, from Companies Healthcare Pvt. Ltd., also shared his knowledge. From clicking pictures to cracking jokes, ex-students did everything to enjoy. Some had come to the lush green with their spouses. They enjoyed a lot. Everywhere was the atmosphere of chatting and dancing. The programme was concluded with thanks note by Ms. Anuja Chopra.
A Yoga session was held on 04th May 2017 in G.H.G. Khalsa college of Pharmacy, Gurusar Sadhar, Ldh. Esteemed members of Patanjali Yog Samiti, Mr. Sukhwinder Singh, Vice President Mr. Hoshiyar Singh and Mr. Ramesh conducted the session. A talk on importance of Yoga practice, highlighting the benefits of Yoga was followed by demonstration and practice of various Asanas and Pranayams which are helpful to increase concentration, relieve stress and to attain peace of mind. Mr Sukhwinder Singh motivated the students to perform Yoga exercises for the innumerable benefits on the body and mind. It was a very useful and beneficial session for all.
G.H.G. Khalsa College of Pharmacy organized Farewell Party on 24th April 2017 to bid adieu to outgoing batches of M. pharmacy, B. Pharmacy and D. Pharmacy. The function started with prayer to God. Different cultural activities were performed by junior students. Dr. Satvinder Kaur Principal motivated passing out students for a bright future and success in their life. She encouraged them to work hard to excel in their life. Mr. Paravdeep Singh and Miss Jeevanjot Kaur from B. Pharm. were selected as Mr. Farewell and Miss Farewell respectively. Mr. Saganpreet Singh and Miss Harleen Kaur from D. Pharmacy were selected as Mr. Farewell and Miss Farewell respectively. Students have enthusiastically participated in the function.
VELITE PHARMACEUTICALS, a leading pharmaceutical Industry, in Hambran, Ludhiana has visited the campus on April 6, 2017 for campus placement drive. Students of B. Pharmacy-VIII semester (final year) appeared in interview. Mrs Sangeeta (owner of the company) and Mrs. Rajwant Kaur (Packaging Designer) of the company interviewed the candidates. It was a very educative and career oriented event.
Joint Annual Athletic meet of GHG Khalsa Colleges, Gurusar Sadhar was held on Wednesday, 8 March 2017. Sh. Sukhvir Singh Grewal, Director Training and Curriculum, Punjab Institute of Sports, Chandigarh graced the occasion as Chief Guest. Sh. Sukhvir Singh Grewal and Sh. Manjit Singh Gill, President Governing Council both unfurled the flag. More than 500 students took part in march past. Principal Dr. Swaranjeet Singh Deol welcomed the chief guest & presented colleges' achievement in sports. Students from Degree college, Pharmacy College and B. Ed. College took part in different events of sports. College Gatka & Bhangra team was the main attractions. Winners were honored with medals by chief guest and president of the colleges. 8th March is internationally celebrated as the "International Women's Day". It is an important occasion for all of us to pause for a moment to reflect on ourselves, to appreciate how much has been done and what more needs to be done in the field of gender equality. Moreover, it is the day to acknowledge all the men and women in the world for making this world a better place for everyone to live in. The day was celebrated at G.H.G. Khalsa College of Pharmacy by organising a programme on cancer awareness. With the collaboration of INTAS, Cancer specialists from Mediways Hospital Ludhiana Dr. Satish Jain and Dr. Veena Jain delivered lecture and highlightened the different preventive measures and treatment options for Breast Cancer, Cervical Cancer and other types of Cancers. Faculty and students from G.H.G Khalsa College of Pharmacy, G.H.G Khalsa College and G.H.G College of Education participated in the programme. Principal, Dr. Satvinder Kaur honored and thanked the Speakers and addressed the audience. Then refreshment was distributed among the participants.

A free medical check-up camp and a blood donation camp was organized in the Memory of Late President Sardar Bakhtawar Singh Gill at GHG Khalsa College, Gurusar Sadhar. The camp was organized under the supervision of Doctors from Dayanand Medical College & Hospital, Ludhiana. An inter college Gurbani Gayan competition was also organized on college premises in the presence of the Holy Guru Granth Sahib Ji. The event was graced by the presence of Sardarni Mohinder Kaur Gill, President Manjit Singh Gill, Secretary Dr. S.S. Thind, and Principals of all the three colleges Dr. S.S. Deol, Dr. Satvinder Kaur and Dr. Sarabjit Kaur. There were around 436 registrations in the medical camp which included people from nearby villages, staff and students. The total donation of blood at the camp was 89 units. The event was ended with distribution of Langar to all the students, staff & guests.
Personality development programme was organized at GHG Khalsa college of pharmacy; Gurusar Sudhar Personnels from Imperial Education made the student conversant with different views on personality development. Students from M. Pharma, B. Pharm, D. Pharma participated in the programme. At the end Dr. Satvinder Kaur address the student and honored the guest.
Students of G.H.G. Khalsa College of Pharmacy, Gurusar Sadhar, have brought laurels to the college by grabbing the top board positions in the Diploma inPharmacy-1st and 2nd year examinations of May 2017, the results of which were declared by Punjab State Board of Technical Education and Industrial Training (PSBTE & IT), Chandigarh. Five students of the Diploma in Pharmacy 2nd year and one student of Diploma in Pharmacy-1st year have their names in the top 20 board positions. All teaching staff congratulated the students for maintaining the tradition of the college by clinching top positions.
NSS Unit of G.H.G Khalsa College of Pharmacy Gurusar Sadhar Ludhiana organized One Day Workshop on VISAKA. Mr. Naveen Kumar Manager Indian overseas bank Sadhar branch and Mr. Sumeet Choudhary Assistant Manager Indian overseas Bank Sadhar Branch delivered lectures during workshop on CASHLESS TRANSACTIONS. Students and faculty members from G.H. G. Khalsa College of Pharmacy Gurusar Sadhar and Ludhiana Group of Colleges Chowkiman participated in the workshop. Dignitaries from the bank made the students aware about the different parameters regarding banking . During lectures they provided the knowledge about debit card, credit card, master card, visa card, rupay card , e-adhar card, UPI, net banking, online banking, mobile banking and different types of cheques and different types of accounts to the students. They also made the students conversant with different facilities provided by IOB regarding cashless transactions.. They also discussed the merits and demerits of cashless transactions.The students acquired the full knowledge about working of banks. At the end of workshop Mr. Naveen Kumar and Mr. Sumeet Choudhary were honored by Principal Dr. Satvinder Kaur
"The Constitution Day" / "Samvidhan Diwas" was solemnly celebrated at G. H. G. Khalsa College of Pharmacy Gurusar Sadhar on 26th November 2016. The day commemorates the adoption of the Constitution of India by the Constituent Assembly on 26th November, 1949. To mark the day, a lecture was delivered by Dr Poonam. Students of D. Pharmacy, B. Pharmacy and M. Pharmacy courses attended the lecture. Dr. Poonam addressed students and made them familiar with the importance of the constitution day. She also explained how the Constitution of India is the supreme law of the nation and how it lays down the framework defining fundamental political principles, powers and duties of Government institutions and sets out Fundamental Rights and the duties of the citizens. At the end of celebration, students and faculty members took a pledge not to involve in violence under any circumstances and have a firm belief on the constitution of the country.
Centre's decision to scrap currency notes of Rs 500 and 1000 denominations was a topic of discussion at IK Gujral Punjab Technical University, Inter- Zonal Youth Festival which was concluded at Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College on Thursday 10th of Nov. An on the spot Painting Competition was also organized on the topic. The day's itinerary included a bevy of cultural, creative and literary events starting with group shabad gyan, Punjabi folk song, light vocal solo, group singing, one act plays and creative writing events were also organized. The function was graced by Vinay kumar Jha, chief commissioner, income tax; and Prem kumar, SDM (west), Ludhiana, who was the guest of honor. In his address, Vinay kumar Jha exhorted students to participate with full zeal and enthusiasm.
Ludhiana: DAV Institute of Engineering and technology , Jalandhar has won overall trophy while the runners up trophy was clinched by CTIEMT at the three day Inter-zonal youth festival held at IK Gujral Punjab Technical University, which was concluded at Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College on Saturday. The Giddha competition was won by DAVIET, Jalandhar, Second position was taken by CTIEMT, Jallandhar, While GHG Khalsa College of Pharmacy Gurusar Sadhar, Ludhiana came Third. Best Dancer, Navneet Nagpal of DAVIET was adjudged best dancer while Simranjot Kaur of KIMT and Anmol of GHG Khalsa College of Pharmacy Gurusar Sadhar, Ludhiana were runners up.

Barik, Jazan University, Saudia Arabia delivered a Lecture on "Nanotechnology enhanced during targeting and Transport across Cell Membrane." Prof V. K. Kapoor, Professor Adjunct, G. H. G. Khalsa College of Pharmacy, Gurusar Sadhar (Ludhiana) delivered a lecture on "Challenges of the Profession to Meet" and Prof Mohammed Ali from Jamia Hamdard University, New Delhi delivered a lecture on "Essential Oils & Aroma Therapy." The event started with recitation of Shabad. The conference included the poster session where large number of delegates presented their research and review papers. Student from various I K Gujral Punjab Technical University affiliated Colleges of Central Zone (Ludhiana & Kapurthala districts) participated in various events i.e. Music, Fine Arts, Theater, Literary events. G.H.G. Khalsa college got the second position in Group Shabad, Vaar Singing and Folk Song and on the spot painting. Dr Amanpreet Singh, Registrar, I K Gujral Punjab Technical University was the chief guest. The chief guest distributed trophies to the winners and also shared their experiences with the student artistes. World Pharmacist Day 2016 with theme "Pharmacists: Caring for you" was celebrated at G.H.G Khalsa College of Pharmacy Gurusar Sadhar. To mark the day various banners and posters, portraying various aspects of pharmacy and health care issues, were prepared by students of D. Pharmacy, B. Pharmacy and M. Pharmacy and displayed in the campus. A speech on Responsibilities of Pharmacist was delivered by ArashdeepKaur, student of D. Pharmacy 2nd year. On this occasionDr. GurpreetSidhu (Medical Officer) from Premjit Memorial Community Health Centre Gurusar Sadhar (Ludhiana) delivered lecture on the behalf of DrNeenaPilani (Senior Medical Officer, Premjit Memorial Community Health Centre Gurusar Sadhar (Ludhiana) regarding the importance of a pharmacist and how a pharmacist and a doctor both are essential for appropriate diagnosis as well as correct treatment of any disease. Dr. GurpreetSidhu also made familiar to the assembly to the variousprogrammes available with Govt. Hospitals like Cancer Control Program, Drugs And Cosmetic Act, Intensive Dental Care Program, Food And Drug Administration Program etc. She also provided the knowledge about medication available for dengue fever, chicken gunea and swine flu in the community centre. Under Intensive Dental Care Programme Dr. Gurpreet emphasized on the various factors to be followed for good dental health. Principal, Dr. SatvinderKaur very correctly explained the significance of a pharmacist in the society and the health care team. She also emphasized the importance, role and responsibilities of being a pharmacist and how each one should strive towards achieving excellence in the field both personally and professionally. At the end Principal, Dr. SatvinderKaurhonoured Dr. GurpreetSidhu. The students and members of faculty took the Pharmacist's Oath collectively to remind their role towards the society and health care system.
The Swachhta Pakhwada was observed at G. H. G Khalsa College of Pharmacy Gurusar Sadhar from 1st Sept to 15th Sept 2016. During the Swachhta Pakhwada various activities were initiated. Painting competition on the Theme: Hygiene and Cleanliness was organized. Harpreet Singh and Neha Koundal bagged first prize. Second prize was won by Mehak and Kashish kumar. Third prize was bagged by Diksha Yadav and Parveen Kumar and consolation prize was won by Vikram Malhotra. Cleanliness drive was initiated from Mata Ganga Girls hostel and led to Guru Hargobind Boys Hostel. College campus was also cleaned and all the unwanted grasses were uprooted from the lawns and gardens of the campus. All activities went in full swing. On the concluding day staff and students have taken Swachhta Pledge. Principal, Dr Satvinder Kaur addressed the staff and students and prizes were distributed to the winners.
The celebration of 'Azaadi 70' at G.H.G. Khalsa Colleges concluded with the recitation of the National Anthem. The poster and sketch making, poem recitation and singing competitions were held. In poster making, Monika, Harmandeep Kaur & Manmeet Kaur; in sketch making, Satnam Singh, Kamalpreet Kaur & Sonia; in poem recitation, Harmeet Kaur, Rajdeep Kaur & Gursimran Kaur and in singing competitions, Inderjeet Singh, Jograj Singh & Varinder Singh got the 1st, 2nd & 3rd prizes respectively. Dr. Balwinderpal Singh, Dr. Rajinder Singh, Dr. Gurmeet Singh and Dr. Baljit Singh performed the duty of judges. Dr. S.S. Thind, Secretary of College Governing Council, Dr. Varinder Kaur Thind, Director Development, Dr. Satvinder kaur, Principal G.H.G Khalsa college of pharmacy inaugurated the exhibition of posters and sketches prepared by the students. Dr. Harjinder Singh Brar addressed the audience and put light on the importance of Independence Day. The winners of the various competitions were given away the prizes. In the end, all the students and staff members of GHG Khalsa Colleges paid homage to the freedom fighters for their contribution in the Indian Independence.
Students and staff of G. H. G. Khalsa College of Pharmacy, Gurusar Sadhar (Ludhiana) celebrated "AZAADI 70" "INDEPENDENCE 70" on 19th August, 2016 in the college campus with a great zeal & enthusiasm focusing on the theme of "YAAD KARO QURBANI", learning about the sacrifices in the freedom struggle. On this occasion, various events like poster making competition, slogan writing competition and patriotic songs on the life and history of icons of freedom struggle were organized. The students and staff of the college also organized a visit to Sarabha village, birthplace of Shaheed Kartar Singh Sarabha to mark the Independence Day. Dr. Satvinder Kaur, Principal of the institution highlighted the importance of the day and reminded the sacrifices made by the thousands of martyr. She also distributed the prizes to the winners of all the events. The AZAADI 70" "INDEPENDENCE 70" function was concluded on 23rd August 2016 by recitation of NATIONAL ANTHEM by the college students at 11:00 a.m. in the college campus. The sweet was also distributed among students as well as staff members.
Tree plantation activity was performed at the campus of G.H.G.Khalsa College of Pharmacy, Gurusar Sadhar. This drive was initiated by the principal, staff and students of the college to create awareness regarding conservation of the environment.
The Foundation stone of Indoor Shooting Range and Gymnasium Hall of G.H.G. Khalsa College, Gurusar Sadhar was laid today by Sardarni Parneet Kaur Kairon, Daughter of S. Parkash Singh Badal, Chief Minister of Punjab, and wife of S. Adesh Partap Singh Kairon, Cabinet Minister of Punjab. The Chief Guest Sardarni Kairon was received and welcomed by S. Manjit Singh Gill, President Governing Council G.H.G. Khalsa Institutions, and the office bearers of the Management, the Principals of G.H.G. Khalsa Colleges, and the other distinguished personalities from the area. In a function held in Nihang Shamsher Singh Hall of the Degree College, Principal Dr. Swaranjeet Singh Deol welcomed and apprised the Chief Guest of the various achievements of G.H.G. Colleges. The Chief Guest was honoured by S. Manjit Singh Gill with a shawl and a Momento. In her address Sardarni Kairon praised and complimented the College Magazine GURUSAR" and gave away prizes to University position holders in academics and the sports persons. The first and the second positions holders were given Computer Tablets. The College Gidha and Bhangra teams entertained the Chief Guest by giving wonderful dance performances. Educative lectures on latest banking techniques were organised for all the students from 2 nd to 4 th March. The officials of Indian Overseas Bank, Sadhar branch in their lectures educated the students about net banking, e-banking, study loan and other loan facilities. They also apprised the students of safe use of CREDIT and DEBIT CARDS.

GHG Khalsa Institutes, Gurusar Sadhar, organised its 63rd Annual Athletics Meet here today. The mega event was a joint venture of the three sister institutes - GHG Khalsa College, GHG Khalsa College of Education and College of Pharmacy, Gurusar Sadhar. Dr GS Khush, an eminent rice breeder of international fame was the chief guest on the occasion. The athletics meet began with the flag hoisting ceremony. A graceful and rhythmic march past, synchronising with the band was performed by the sportpersons and students of the three colleges. The chief guest took the salute of the march past. Veerpal Kaur, veteran athlete of the degree college, performed the oath- taking ceremony following which the chief guest declared the 63rd Annual Athletics Meet open. Various track and field events were organised during the sports meet. The best athletes from the three colleges were Pardeep Singh, Gulbagh Singh, Satinderpal Singh, Verpal Kaur, Gurpreet Kaur and Yaddeep Kaur. Dr SS Deol, principal, GHG Khalsa College, gave a brief account of the sports and academic achievements of the three institutes. Addressing the gathering, Dr Khush congratulated Manjit Singh Gill, president of the managing committee, for following the footsteps of his father, Bakhtawar Singh Gill, and leading the institutes in the same spirit towards excellence in all the fields. Dr Khush expressed his concern over the extreme corruption in India and appealed to the young generation to vote sensibly and elect good leaders to save the future of the nation. A brief cultural programme, including items of bhangra, malwai giddha and gatka enthralled the audience. The college governing council honoured the gatka team led by S Jaspal Singh and S Vishal Singh with a cash prize of Rs. 10,000.
Students and staff of the college celebrated 67 th Republic Day at college campus with great joy and enthusiasm. Students presented speeches, patriotic songs and national anthem. Students paid rich tributes to martyrs. The assembly concluded with recitation of national anthem. Sweets were also distributed among students and staff.
The National Pharmacy Week was celebrated at GHG Khalsa College of Pharmacy, Gurusar Sadhar. (Ludhiana). The theme for the pharmacy week was 'Pharmacist: A healthcare professional. It was a three day program which concluded on 8th Nov. 2013 followed by a educational tour on 9lh Nov. to Chandigarh. Prof. K. K. Bhutani, Director, NIPLR, Mohali was the chief guest at the occasion. Prof. V. K. Kapoor, Director Research, G.H.G. Khalsa College of Pharmacy, welcomed the Chief Guest and enlightened the audience with importance of pharmacy profession. Mrs. Satvinder Kaur, Principal, G.H.G. Khalsa College of Pharmacy presented the achievements of college in a brief report. The program started by seeking blessings of Almighty God through Shabad and Saraswati vandana. Punjabi as well as western dance were performed at the function. The use and misuse of mobile phones was beautifully presented in a mime. The effect of drug addiction in youth was demonstrated by students in a skit. Various competitions and games like quiz contest, poster making, rangoli, paper reading competition were organized on 6th and 7th November. The winner of these competitions along with the students who excelled during the academic session were awarded during the function, Sachin Goyal, Manpreet Kaur and Jaspreet Kaur adjudged first in poster-making competition. Bipandeep Kaur and Akhil Bharat adjudged first in paper reading competition, Renuka, Ekwinder Kaur, Prabjot Kaur and Jasleen Kaur adjudged first in rangoli competition. Harkomalpreet Singh adjudged first in indoor games competition, Vipanpret Kaur and team adjudged first in Quiz Contest. No function is complete without Punjabi folk dance bhangra, so to conclude the function bhangra was presented by students of college of Pharmacy. Programme ended with a thanks giving speech by Mrs. Anu Mahajan. The stage was coordinated by Dr. Poonam & Mrs. Anuja Chopra.
G.H.G Khalsa Colleges organized the annual convocation on April 12th, 2016. The event was graced by Col. (Retd.) Guljit Singh Chadha, Registrar, Panjab University, Chandigarh as the chief guest. S. Manjit Singh Gill, President, Managing Committee presided over the function which commenced with the recitation of the college shabad. A total of 936 students from G.H.G Khalsa College of Education, G.H.G Khalsa College and G.H.G Khalsa College of Pharmacy were conferred with their degrees. Offg. Principal from G.H.G Khalsa College of Education, Dr. Sarbjit Kaur Ranu presented the welcome address and Dr. Swaranjit Singh Deol, Principal, G.H.G Khalsa College read the annual reports of all the three colleges highlighting the achievements of students in academics, sports and cultural arena. Delivering the convocation address, Col. (Retd.) Guljit Singh Chadha congratulated the young degree holders and wished them all the best for future endeavors. He elaborated that this is really a day of the students who worked hard and got their degrees. He also congratulated the management and the faculty for being amongst the topmost colleges of the University and for achieving academic excellence.The event was graced by Dr. S.S. Thind, Secretary, Dr. Varinder Kaur Thind, Director Development, Dr. Harjinder Singh Brar, Retd. Principal, S. Hardyal Singh Gill, Vice-President, S. Campus of G.H.G Khalsa College of Pharmacy dazzled with colours amid the farewell party today. The outgoing class was welcomed by teachers and juniors whole heartedly. Principal Dr. Satvininder Kaur addressed the students and wished them for their bright future. She motivated the students to embark upon their future life with grit and determination. A cultural bonanza was arranged by the students of B-PHARM IV Sem students. Flaunting their attires, young girls and boys walked gracefully on the ramp. Vibrancy, colour and jubilation were all pervasive, when the students of G.H.G Khalsa College of Pharmacy , bid adieu to their seniors during a farewell party organised on the college campus.

Sardar Bakhtawar Singh Gill Inter College Gurbani Gayan Competition was held at G.H.G. Khalsa College Gurusar Sadhar premises. A programme celebrated with religious fervour also included Akhand Path of Sri Guru Granth Sahib. In the deepest and fond memory of S. Bakhtawar Singh Gill, a free medical check-up and blood donation camp were also organized with the help of Fortis Hospital Ludhiana. The Blood donation camp was inaugurated by S. Vivan Singh Gill, CEO Fortis Hospital, Ludhiana and the Free Medical camp was inaugurated by S. Ranjit Singh Gill. Dr. Harpreet Kaur Brar, Administrative Head, Fortis Hospital, Ludhiana was the guest of Honour. S. Manjit Singh Gill, President, College Governing Council and Sardarni Mahinder Kaur Gill who played a instrumental role in starting this tradition were also present on the occasion. Dr. Swaranjeet Singh Deol, Principal, Degree College throwing light on the occasion told that 9 teams from different colleges participated in this event with great enthusiasm. 110 students donated blood voluntarily and nearly 350 patients underwent medical check-up by a team of expert doctors from Fortis Hospital Ludhiana. On this occasion a renowned religious personality Baba Sarbjot Singh Bedi paid glowing tributes to S. Bakhtawar Singh Gill and congratulated President, S. Manjit Singh Gill on the tremendous progress made by the colleges. A renowned academician S. Jatinder Singh Sidhu, former member of Board of Directors of University of Fraser Valley, Abbotsford, Canada, also appreciated the efforts being put in the by the management to upgrade the education in Rural Punjab. Prof. Balwinderpal Singh shared that Guru Gobind Singh Study Circle and N.S.S Unit of the college made a special contribution towards making this a successful event. Dr. Neelam & Dr. Devinder Singh from Akal Academy Baru Sahib were also present on the occasion. In the competiton, Khalsa College for Women team stood first with Amarpreet Kaur one of the team members, clinching individual first prize. Second prize was won by Ramgarhia Girls College Ludhiana with Anureet Kaur & Amandeep Kaur winning 2nd & 3rd individual prizes as well. Swami Ganga Giri Janta Girls College Raikot stood third in the competition. Special prizes were awarded to G.H.G. Khalsa College of Education & G.H.G. Khalsa College (Girls). Sardarni Mahinder Kaur Gill, S. Manjit Singh Gill, Sardarni Hareena Gill, S. Hardial Singh Gill, Principal Dr. S.S. Deol, Principal Dr. H.S. Brar, Principal Dr. Satwinder Kaur & Dr. V.K. Kapoor felicitaled the winners, and other participants with trophies and cash prizes. After the programme Guru Ka Langar was also served for the students and people from the surrounding villages. Prinicpal Dr. H.S. Brar presented vote of thanks. A Book exhibition was also organized by Gurmat Pustak Centre on the occasion.
A development program on eye awareness was organised in the college on 11 th Feb 2016. Dr Inderpreet Singh, Phaco and Retina surgeon, Sohana Hospital, Ludhiana gave complete information about proper eye vision and precautions to prevent any damage to the eyes. He also discussed about various disorders associated with eyes like diabetic retinopathy, cataract, glaucoma, myopia, hypermetropia etc.
Annual Athletic Meet of college was conducted on Feb 27. 2016 with full fervor. This Mega event was organized collectively by the three sister institutions, namely G. H.G. Khalsa College of Pharmacy, Degree College and College of Education, Gurusar Sadhar (Ludhiana). S. Rupinder Singh, Deputy Director (Sports), Chandigarh was the honorable chief guest. S Manjit Singh Gill, President, College Governing Council, S. Hardial Singh Gill and Members of the Management were the other distinguished guests present on the occasion. They were welcomed by Dr Satvinder Kaur, Dr V. K Kapoor, Dr S. S Deol, Dr H. S Brar, S T. B. Singh and members of the staff. Students had participated in various sports events like long jump, discus throw, shortput, races (100m, 200m, 400m), potato race, three legged race, tug of war, sac race and won prizes.Gurkomaljit Singh (B.Pharm-2 nd sem) and Talwinder Singh (B.Pharm-2 nd sem) were adjudged best athletes among boys and Amampreet Kaur (B.Pharm-2 nd sem) was adjudged best athlete among girls. The winners of various events were garlanded with medals.IK Gujral PTU, Jalandhar has organized an inter-college men's cricket tournament in GNE, Ludhiana on Feb 13, 2016. College boys cricket team participated in this and got appreciation.
Students and faculty members of G.H.G. Khalsa College of Pharmacy also attended and presented posters on scientific reviews and their research works in 2 nd Annual National Convention of Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India (APTI). (Punjab State Branch) on Emerging Scenario in Human Research Development For Pharmacy Profession in Government Polytechnic College for Girls, Patiala on March, 18-19, 2016. Girls from various B.Pharmacy semesters performed Rajasthani Dance and won First Prize.Also, Gautam Raj Puri, Student of B.Pharm-4 th Semester won First Prize in Debate in Annual National Convention of Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India (APTI).
