G.H.G. Khalsa College of Education celebrated World Health Day on April 7, 2021 on the theme "Building a Fairer and Healthier World for everyone." The day was observed with an objective to aware the students about the importance of health and quality living. B.Ed and M.Ed Students of the college participated in the event with full enthusiasm. The celebration commenced with the sharing of brief history of the World Health Day by Dr. Mini Sharma from Department of English. Gourav Kumar of B.Ed Semester IV and Simranjot Kaur of B.Ed Semester I recited poem on the theme The Unseen Monster - Covid 19 and "World Health day" respectively. Harkiran Kaur of B.Ed Semester I delivered a speech on the topic "Importance of a Healthy Life". Bindia Jhanji from B.Ed Semester IV shared her views on the "Importance of celebrating World Health Day" while Gurpreet Kaur of Semester IV recited a motivational poem on "Health is real wealth". Dr. Pargat Singh Garcha, Principal of the college while interacting with the students said that at the present time when we are witnessing the second wave of Covid-19, it has become even more important to celebrate the World Health day and focus on the measures to be taken to deal with this global problem. Dr. Garcha congratulated the faculty and the students for organizing the event successfully
