An extension lecture was organized by the P.G. Department of Physics, G.H.G. Khalsa College, Gurusar Sadhar. The resource person, Dr. Vipin Bhatnagar, Professor, Physics Department, Panjab University, Chandigarh, was welcomed by Dr. Nitish Dhingra. The speaker delivered a comprehensive lecture on the topic 'High Energy Physics Experiments - An Overview'. He highlighted the importance of High Energy Physics in the context of fundamental science and discussed its various benefits for our society. He covered a broad spectrum of detectors such as human-eye, PET/CT scan, MRI and the sophisticated CMS detector in use at CERN lab in Switzerland. The session was interactive in nature & the speaker actively responded to the queries of the students.Principal Prof. Jaswant Singh and Registrar Dr. H.S.
