Arjun Singh and Chhayank Sharma, shooters from GHG Khalsa College, Gurusar Sadhar, shot gold in All India Inter-University Shooting Championship held at Panjab University, Chandigarh. Arjun Singh won an individual gold medal in 10 mtr Air Rifle mixed event and as a team, he along-with Chhayank, struck gold in the 10 mtr Air Rifle team event. They are the B.P.Ed. first year students of the college. Earlier, they had participated in the 62nd National Shooting Championship held at Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, through which they were shortlisted for International level trials. S. Manjit Singh Gill, President College Governing Council, remarked that provision of a state-of-the-art indoor shooting range facility at the college campus has been a motivator for a large number of students to take up this sport. Lt. Gen. I.S. Singha (Retd.), Director, Dr. S.S. Deol, Principal, and Dr. H.S. Brar, Registrar, congratulated the duo for their achievement and also, lauded their coach Mr. Vinay Baliyan. The management also deeply appreciated the efforts of the faculty of P.G.
