GHG Khalsa College, Gurusar Sadhar, organized a seminar on the stellar role being played by the Indian Armed Forces in nation building and how the youngsters can become its torch bears. Lt. Gen. Rakesh Chadha (Retd.), PSVM, AVSM, VSM, the guest speaker was extended a warm welcome and given a worthy introduction by Lt. Gen. I.S. Singha (Retd.), Director of the College. Lt. Gen. R. C. Chadha (Retd.) in his address brought forth the exceptional and unrelenting role of an Indian soldier in nation building. With an unflinching devotion to duty and scrupulous honesty, the Indian Armed Forces are India's ultimate weapon and a guarantor of the idea of India. He encouraged the Gen Y to join the Indian Armed Forces not just for job security but for a wholesome experience of a lifetime. In particular, he discussed about the esteemed institutions like NDA, IMA, OTA etc. and their pivotal role in shaping the future nation builders. The seminar was attended by more than 500 students from the Degree College, College of Pharmacy and College of Education. The queries of the students were handled aptly by Lt. Gen. Chadha. The College Governing Council felicitated Lt. Gen. Chadha with a token of appreciation. The occasion was also graced by Dr. S.S. Deol, Principal Degree College, Dr. Satvinder Kaur, Principal Pharmacy College and Dr. Sarabjit Kaur, Principal College of Education.
